Private Cross Country Ski Lessons

Eb's has a number of experienced nordic ski instructors available to teach private lessons.  They teach skate or classic, no age limit.  Cost is $40/hr.  If you sign up as a couple or a group it is $40 for the first person and $10 per each additional person (maximum 6).  Payment can be made at the lesson (cash or cheque), in person at the store, or over the phone with a credit card.

If you need to rent equipment, waxless skis are $15 per day, skin skis are $25 per day, and waxable or skate skis are $20 per day (see our rentals page).  These include skis, boots and poles - everything you need for the lesson.  You can come in ahead of time to get sized or you can do this over the phone if necessary (we need your height, weight and shoe size).  If you pay ahead of time we can guarantee we have your sizes available for your lesson date.

If interested, please contact the store.  An instructor will get back to you to set up a time and location that works best for all.

Kayak Lessons

Eb's offers introductory kayak clinics through Jeff Roe, a 15 year kayaking veteran and certified Paddle Canada instructor. These clinics cover kayak basics, safety skills (wet exits and rescues) and paddle strokes. Suitable for absolute beginners or those with some paddling experience who want to feel more confident on the water, the clinics are 4 hours (3 hours on the water).

Courses take place at Harry Bailey Aquatic Centre.  Price is $100, payable by cash or cheque at the pool.  Clinics take place in May and June.

Contact the store for details.

Jeff also offers pool sessions for those who have taken a clinic before (or have equivalent experience) and who want to refresh their skills in the warmth of the pool.
