A ski package includes cross country skis, boots, and poles. These are all priced as separate items. When you purchase all these components together a discount is applied to each item. With the purchase of a ski package you also get free binding installation and glide wax.
When shopping for a ski package you can choose any skis, boots and poles that work for you. For example: if you choose skis that you like you are not limited to a single boot choice; you may choose whichever boots you wish to go with your skis. Once you choose a pair of poles you have all the components of your ski package and the sticker prices are discounted at the till.
This being said there are some guidelines when purchasing to ensure you get the equipment that will work best for you. That's what we are here for! If you plan to ski on groomed trails we will help you choose a ski appropriate for that use. You would want a boot that also works well for this kind of skiing - warm and comfortable with some support, but not too heavy. Again, we'll show you which ones will work best for the kind of skiing you want to do.
To purchase a ski package no appointment is necessary. When you choose the skis you want we will size you to them on one or both of our Fischer Ski Camber Testers, and you can try on the boots to see which ones are the most comfortable. Many boots are heat moldable so we can offer you a personalized fit as we have a boot heater in the store. We will help you size your poles correctly as well which will allow you the most efficient poling action.
We will also answer any questions you have about maintenance, waxing, where to ski, where to find lessons, or anything else you wish to know.
If you do not live in Saskatoon and cannot make it into the store we do offer shipping options. We can size skis using our digital camber tester so you still get skis that fit you properly. If you wish to purchase a ski package and have it shipped to you, please contact the store.
Classic Touring Ski Packages
These packages are appropriate for beginners to intermediate skiers who want to get out and have fun. The skis are stable and easy to use and care for, with a durable waxless "fishscale" base so there's no need to apply grip wax. The boots are made to be warmer and more comfortable than top-end gear.
Classic waxless ski packages start at about $485.
Skin Ski Packages
Skin skis are a popular type of classic waxless ski that gives better glide than traditional cut base skis. They are well suited for groomed trails. The "skin" is a mohair strip under the kick zone of the ski and is replaceable when it wears out. Skins normally last a quite a few years depending on how often and aggressively you ski. Skin ski styles range from touring to racing.

Skate Ski Packages
Skate skiing is a distinct style from the traditional diagonal stride. The skis are made with an entirely different camber and are stiffer and shorter, and the boots have stiff soles and far more support than a classic boot. Whether you are just starting out or have been skate skiing for years there is a package here for you.
Skate ski packages start at about $640.
Performance Classic Packages
Performance classic skis have higher quality bases that can hold wax better and are more grindable, more complex core constructions to be lighter and more responsive, and have cambers suited to a diagonal ski style with distinct kick and glide phases. They come in waxable and skin styles and have a 44mm parallel cut, and usually offer different flexes to suit the skier and conditions. These skis are great for intermediate to elite skiers and racers.

Off-trail Ski Packages
There is a range of ski types in here, mostly aimed at skiing off trail or a mix of on and off trail. They are wider for better flotation on looser snow. These are mostly waxless skis with some skin skis and some that have the option to attach backcountry skins for steep terrain.

Junior Ski Packages
We have packages for all levels of junior skiers from Bunnyrabbits to Jackrabbits, and for those getting into skate skiing and racing. The Bunnyrabbit package has bindings a child's winter boots will strap into and is good for tots up to the age of 4 or 5.
