Rollerskis

Rollerskis come in skate and classic designs and are used by experienced skiers looking for dryland training opportunities. Classic designs have shorter, thicker wheels with ratchet mechanism to simulate the grip of a classic ski during the kick.

Solid wheels require less maintenance than pneumatic wheels but give a rougher ride. Consider the terrain you will be skiing on to choose the wheels that will work best for you. If purchasing rollerskis with pneumatic wheels it helps to have a tire changing station. Carrying a spare wheel with you is also a good idea in case you get a flat.

We highly recommend changing your pole baskets to rollerski tips which are meant to withstand higher impact than snow basket tips. If you don't have quick-change baskets on your poles you may need to gently heat the pole basket to get it off. There should be enough hot glue on the shaft end for the rollerski tip to stay on but add more if needed.
