Swix Glide Wax Cleaner

After many hot waxings and fluoro applications, the glide sections of your ski bases get clogged with loose wax particles.  This cleaner from Swix re-opens the pores of sintered bases (if your bases are extruded, don't bother with this product).  It acts on fluorocarbons but leaves hydrocarbon wax in your bases.

To use:  saturate your bases (glide sections only) with the product.  Brush the liquid into the base with a nylon brush.  Let sit for a period of time - even overnight, if you have the time.  Then wipe clean with a lint free cloth (such as Fibrelene); this may take awhile as the product is quite oily.  When the bases look dry brush with a steel or bronze brush and hot wax as usual.
