Bindings
Cross country ski bindings must be compatible with the ski, whether it is a direct mount (screwed in) binding or mounted on a plate. Most cross country skis are now manufactured with branded plates and require a specific binding to be compatible with it. For example if you purchase a ski with an IFP plate you will need to choose an IFP compatible binding.
Bindings must also be compatible with the boot. Many older cross country ski boots are designed to attach to bindings that are no longer available, so be sure which style boot you have. New cross country ski boots from the well-known brands are designed to be compatible with a universal system that most people know as NNN.
Most bindings listed here are for groomed trail classic and skate skis. Backcountry bindings are wider, more robust bindings that will only fit backcountry boots. If you have questions about binding compatibility please contact us.
