Nikwax Down Wash (1 L)

This specialty cleaner is designed to revitalize the water repellency and insulation properties of down filled gear. It is easy to use, non flammable, and PFAS free. 

Directions (clothing): Shake bottle. Use undiluted to treat stains before washing. Remove all detergent build-up from the detergent dispenser of your washing machine. Place maximum 1 garment in the machine. Add 100ml of Down Wash to the dispenser. Run a 30°C synthetic cycle on a slow spin, with extra rinse if possible.

Directions (sleeping bag): best washed in a large professional machine at a laundromat. Place maximum 1 bag in the machine. Add 100ml Down Wash (8-11 kg machine), 250ml (12 kg machine) or 500ml (25 kg+ machines). Run a 30°C synthetic cycle on a slow spin, with extra rinse if possible. 
OR
Hand wash in a bathtub. Use gloves. Add 100ml Down Wash to 12-15 L of warm water. Immerse item and agitate to mix. Leave to soak 5 minutes, then agitate thoroughly. Rinse until water runs clear. To remove excess water transfer item to a washing machine and spin dry 3 times (slow spin).

If care label allows, tumble dry garment or sleeping bag on low setting until clumps have disappeared. This may take multiple drying cycles. It helps to tease apart clumps by hand in between drying cycles.
