Go Trekkers Map: Athabasca Sand Dunes Provincial Park West
This map covers the west portion of the Athabasca Sand Dunes Provincial Park. The Athabasca Sand Dunes is the largest active sand surface in Canada and stretch approximately 100 kilometres along the south shore of Lake Athabasca. The dunes, which rise as high as 30 metres, offer stunning scenery, a unique ecosystem full of rare and endemic plants.
This map shows the main hiking area to the region's highest and most spectacular dunes. It indicates the hiking routes, campsite locations in decimal degrees and UTM coordinates along with any points of interest.
The map includes river information along the William River which bisects the dunes for those entering the park via the river.
