Clipper Jensen 17 Pro Custom (carbon/kevlar, wood trim, bailer)
A classic canoe for stock boat racing in Canada, the Jensen 17 was designed by Eugene Jensen as a canoe for short trips and amateur racing. It is narrow for speed yet has the width to be stable enough for most paddlers and meets the "4/32" criteria typical of stock category racing. The seats are positioned low so even inexperienced paddlers will feel comfortable and stable.
Because this canoe is a custom Pro layup it is built with no float tanks for racing. It has two bulkheads and ten ribs for extra stiffness, stability and durability. The seats are carbon and both slide on rails so you can adjust trim from both bow and stern. There is a bailer in the stern that will self bail when opened as long as the boat is moving.
This boat is a custom Carbon/Kevlar Pro layup with blue gel coat dip. The carbon has a subtle blue colour which shows up in sunlight. The wood trim is hand done.
