Blackwater Alouette Carbon Canoe Paddle

This is a nice full carbon paddle with more durability for tripping, and is designed to help you paddle more efficiently, especially over longer distances. It's got a smooth matte black finish which looks and feels fantastic.

The bent shaft design keeps the blade more vertical in the water through each stroke, which helps you get better power with less effort. The result is a smoother, more efficient stroke that lends itself to a quicker cadence without feeling like you’re working harder.

The oval shaft fits the hand naturally and the grip has a T-shape for excellent control of the paddle. The blade has a foam core which adds buoyancy, making each stroke feel lighter and your exits snappier, and the teardrop shape is known for it's efficiency and easy catch.

Sizing: These paddles come uncut so you can cut for a perfect fit. We can do this for you if you are unsure. To size, sit on a chair and measure the distance from the bridge of your nose to the seat of the chair. This gives you the shaft/grip length. Add 19" for blade length to give you an overall paddle length.  

Note: if paddling a narrow racing style canoe, subtract an inch or so from the overall length. If paddling solo, go an inch or so longer.
