This book describes two canoe journeys, one along the Snake River through Yukon Territory, and one along the Churchill River that runs through our own backyard. It explores why wilderness is important to us and why the Churchill River and its watershed, culturally and spiritually important to its indigenous communities and beloved by paddlers, might warrant a higher level of protection. 

Bob Tosh is an outdoorsman and wilderness canoeist originally from Northern Ireland. He served in the British Army for 6 years and has traveled throughout Europe, Africa, and North America.
