The Motion 3 has a more forward position on the roof so you have less issues with opening your hatch.  The extra wide PowerClick quick-mount system with integrated torque indicator clicks audibly when you've mounted the box properly.  Thule's SlideLock system separates locking and opening functions and indicates when the box is securely closed (locks are included and are one-key system compatible).  The box can open either direction and will fit on square, round and most flat bars and factory crossbars.
