Altai Hok Ski with Universal Pivot Binding (125 cm)
Your "truly all-purpose backcountry tool", Canadian-based Altai Skis are designed for skiing out the back door and through your local country. Co-founders Nils Larsen and François Sylvain combined decades of experience to create the Hok: a hybrid ski with roots in the ancient traditions of the Altai Mountains, adapted for modern, off-track adventures.
The Hok Ski is a short, wide, full metal-edged ski with great flotation on loose snow. The 125cm Hok is the most versatile size in the lineup, and the best all-around option for most users. Shorter and more maneuverable than the 145, it’s perfect for weaving through tight trees, tackling variable terrain, or simply getting around in deep snow without the bulk of traditional skis or snowshoes. The integrated climbing skin under the middle third of the ski provides excellent grip for climbing.
The skis comes mounted with Universal XTrace Pivot Bindings which work with your regular winter boots—no ski boots required. The screw hole pattern is also compatible with current 75mm 3-pin bindings. If you have backcountry boots, there is an adapter plate (sold separately) that is compatible with Rottefella NNN BC and Solomon BC bindings.
